To teach is to learn twice – Joseph Joubert

Why do I enjoy teaching? Teaching is empowering people. What is learned can never be taken away. Knowledge is what helps us to collect and curate experiences. Our experiences are what make us extraordinary. The right combination of experience and knowledge are the building blocks to achieving our goals.

To learn well, one must listen well. There are many good ideas out there in the world and most of them are not mine. When I meet a person who wants to talk to me about social media, I listen. Most things in this world don’t have a simple answer.

Like my grandma used to say, “There is more than one way to skin a cat.”

This is because there is more than one answer and there is more than one question. The trick is to find the right answer for the right question.

I am always looking for new opportunities to learn, part of learning for me is teaching. That is why I run training for Twitter, the more I understand how other’s are using the platform, the better I get at teaching other’s how to use it.

My next training program is fully booked, however I am planning more for June and an extra special Interactive Storytelling with Twitter class scheduled with Laneway Learning! The details will be announced soon! Sign up to my newsletter, I will release the dates as soon as they are available!
